Warm Homes Local Grant

The Warm Homes Local Grant is the Government's flagship fuel-poverty scheme, funded by DESNZ and delivered locally by approved installers like JMS Eco. For eligible low-income households it can fully cover the cost of Solar PV, Battery Storage, insulation and heating upgrades.

What is the Warm Homes Local Grant?

Replacing the retired ECO4 and GBIS schemes, the Warm Homes Local Grant (WHLG) is a £500m-a-year programme targeting low-income households living in the least efficient homes (EPC D-G). Solar PV and Battery Storage are now fundable measures alongside insulation and heating - a major change from the old schemes.

How to Access It

Your local authority awards the funding and partners with accredited installers (that's us) to deliver the work. You apply through a short eligibility check - we'll run it for you and confirm funding availability. If approved, our surveyor visits, designs the measures, and installs at zero cost to you.

Who's Eligible

Low-Income Households

Household income below £36,000 or in receipt of means-tested benefits (Universal Credit, Pension Credit, ESA income-based, and others).

EPC D-G

Properties rated D, E, F or G on their Energy Performance Certificate - the least efficient homes in the country.

Fundable Measures

Solar PV, Battery Storage, Loft and Internal Wall Insulation, and Air Source Heat Pumps - all fully or partially covered.
