Battery Storage
A home battery is the single biggest lever for lowering your electricity bill. Pair it with Solar PV to store every unit of free daylight for evening use, or run it solo to load-shift cheap off-peak electricity into peak hours when prices are three times higher.
What is Home Battery Storage?
A home battery stores electricity for later use - either from your solar panels, from the grid on a cheap tariff, or both. Modern lithium batteries (like GivEnergy, Tesla Powerwall and Fox ESS) are wall-mounted, silent, and paired with smart software that automatically charges when energy is cheapest and discharges when it's most expensive.
How It Works
We size your battery around your actual daily usage - not a guess. The system talks to your Solar PV, your tariff and your home: charging from solar during the day, topping up overnight on Economy 7 or a smart tariff, and powering your home through the evening peak. Many units also give you backup power during grid outages.
The Benefits
Beat Peak Pricing
Charge at 7p/kWh overnight, use it at 30p/kWh in the evening - the battery pays itself back on every cycle.
Store Your Own Solar
Any surplus Solar PV goes into the battery instead of being exported at a pittance. Use it after sunset.
Backup Power
Optional EPS (Emergency Power Supply) keeps essential circuits running through a power cut.
