What's Involved?
Loft insulation is one of the least disruptive energy upgrades. For a standard loft with open joists, the process is straightforward:
- We inspect your loft space for damp, ventilation, and access
- Mineral wool rolls are laid between and across the joists
- The recommended depth is 270mm (about 10.5 inches)
- The whole job typically takes 2-3 hours
There's no mess downstairs, no structural work, and you can use the loft as normal afterwards - though we'd recommend boarding over the insulation if you use it for storage.
