Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK Government grant worth up to £7,500 off the cost of a new Air Source Heat Pump. As an MCS-certified installer, JMS Eco applies for the voucher on your behalf and takes the grant straight off your quote - no paperwork, no cash changing hands.
What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
BUS is the replacement for the old Renewable Heat Incentive, administered by Ofgem. It pays a fixed grant of £7,500 for an Air Source Heat Pump (and £7,500 for a Ground Source system) on eligible properties in England and Wales. The scheme runs until 2028 and is first-come, first-served within annual budgets.
How We Apply On Your Behalf
Because JMS Eco is MCS-certified, we can apply for the BUS voucher directly to Ofgem using your property details and EPC. The grant is deducted from your final invoice - you never pay the full amount. Eligible properties need a valid EPC with no outstanding insulation recommendations (we can help you clear those too).
